Prestagen - Company

Founded in October 2006, PRESTAGEN is a biotechnology company located Haute-Normandie region (France).
Its current aim is twofold :

To continuously improve the PLEXAMP technology but also to search and develop new technologies for genetic analysis in the field of medical diagnosis.
To develop applications of the PLEXAMP technology via marketing kits derived from this technology particularly in the fields of medical genetics, of oncology or of microbiology.

After a first phase of development and validation of the technology, PRESTAGEN conducted a first fundraising in June 2008 from the French venture capital company “NCI Gestion” and from Business Angels in Rouen (NBA) and Le Havre (SOHGEPAR).

Thanks to this contribution and to the assistance of the Haute-Normandie region and OSEO, the company was able to complete the development of four kits derived from the PLEXAMP® technology and to establish an automated production unit for the PLEXAMP kits. Other running program: the establishment of a quality assurance system complying with the specifications of the “in-vitro diagnostic” market, including standards EN ISO 13485 for Europe and 21 CFR Part 820 for the USA.
